National e-sport cycling championships 24/25

Goals:

  • To promote and popularize e-cycling sports in Baltics.
  • - To attract new cyclists.
  • - To educate and inform people about the Zwift platform and smart trainers.
  • - To provide people with the opportunity to participate in cycling competitions during the winter period when the traditional cycling season is on pause.
  • - To facilitate gatherings and meetings in a friendly atmosphere for cyclists, cycling fans, and supporters.

  • - Riders must send in a continues video of himself, trainer verification, DUAL recording source verification, Zwift screen of added devices and entrance of the event on Zwift platform.

Regulations for group B (OPEN):

  • - No age restrictions, but parental supervision is necessary for riders below 18 years of age.
  • - Both men and women start in the same group
  • - Only Zwift approved trainers can compete (TRAINER LIST) 
  • - Riders start 5 min after the E group.

  • - National Individual Time Trial (ITT) Championship in 24.01.2025. at 18:30 (EET) | 16:30 (UTC) (https://www.zwift.com/eu/events/view/4751390)
  • - National Road Race (RR) Championship in 22.02.2025. at 11:00 (EET) | 09:00 (UTC) (Entrance link: will be added 7 days before the race)
  • - National Epic Championship in 01.03.2025. at 09:00 (EET) | 07:00 (UTC) (Entrance link: will be added 7 days before the race)
  • - TRON BIKE is allowed
  • - It is forbidden to change bicycles during the RR (PENALTY - DSQ), but it is allowed to change bikes during the ITT.
  • - There must be a heart rate monitor that shows the data and Zwift records it (bpm) (PENALTY - DNF)
  • - It is forbidden to incite any kind of rudeness or hatred using chat communication during the competition (PENALTY - DNF / DSQ)
  • - Zwift profile must be connected to Zwiftpower.com and Zwiftpower account must be public (ZWIFT POWER PROFILE)
  • - All riders must make DUAL RECORDING during the race, except if the trainer has gone through the verification process on the day of the event and starts the race at ZZK shop (Dzelzavas iela 47). (HOW TO DUAL RECORD ?)
  • - Each participant must weight in in the morning of the competition, the video must show the following data: control weight, full height of the participant and the participant’s weight
  • - Height video must also be recorded for verification
  • - Dual recording must match <4% difference margin between power meters as stated in Zwift overall regulations.
    - - Average power: +/- 4%
    - - Normalized power: +/- 4%
    - - Maximum power (critical power 1 / 5 sec): +/- 8%
    - - - If the power data doesn’t fit within the rules – we will contact the rider, to find out the reason, beforedeciding about the result of a rider.

** Zwift.lv is entitled to request proof, such as a rider’s weight, a public "STRAVA" account, public "Zwiftpower" account, to determine whether there is a technical error in hardware, the power meter that displays incorrect data, or fraud with the rider’s data. The rider must submit the required information in the e-mail: martins@zzk.lv or via facebook messenger to https://www.facebook.com/zwift.lv .


Results:

  • - Results will be published on Zwift.lv within 3 working days after the competition
  • - The 3 best riders in the men's A group and the 3 best riders in the women`s E group will be awarded

Road race:

  • - Route 1: Volcano Circuit (Watopia) (1 lap – 7.0 km)
  • - Route 2: Two Bridges Loop (Watopia) (1 lap – 7.2 km)
  • - Route 3: Loopin Lava (Watopia) (15.4 km)
  • - Power groups: A - 1-5 w/kg (men only) | E - 1-5 w/kg (women only) | B – 1- 5 W/kg (OPEN)

ZZK.lv Baltic Charge Race Series ‘24/25

Goals:

  • Promote e-cycling sport among people in Baltic states.
  • Attract new cyclists with different backgrounds and level of fitness.
  • Educate and inform people about the Zwift platform and smart trainers.
  • Provide people with the opportunity to participate in cycling competitions.

Place, time, distance:

  • The competition takes place on the ZWIFT platform.
  • The competition takes place from 30.10.2024 till 29.01.2025 (12 events total).
  • Race events take place on Wednesdays at 18:30 EET.
  • Baltic Charge Race Series are divided in three themes – Lithuanian, Estonian, and Latvian.
  • Best 3 of 4 races for each theme are used to calculate overall standings.

  • The competition is organized by Zwift.lv under ZZK.LV Cycling shop in Latvia.

Registration for the competition:

Riders’ division by groups:

  • Group A – 95% of 20 min power is 4.00 w/kg or above
  • Group B – 95% of 20 min power is between 3.20 and 3.99 W/kg
  • Group C – 95% of 20 min power is between 2.50 and 3.19 W/kg
  • Group D – 95% of 20 min power is between 1.00 and 2.49 W/kg
  • Group E (W) – Ladies, no power restrictions. Have their own event.

If rider exceeds his groups power limit, his results will be upgraded to the group above and placed at thebottom.


Additional terms:

  • Heart rate monitor required (penalty - DNF).
  • No rudeness or hatred allowed in chat (penalty - DSQ).
  • Create and link ZwiftPower.com account.
  • Use real name, height, and weight. Correct in-game equipment required.
  • Ladies start in group E (W). Ladies got their own race event. Ladies race will be shortened.

Performance Verification:

  • Top 3 in group A must provide dual recording.
  • Dual recording for A and E groups TOP3 riders is compulsory
  • Weight verification may be requested.

Sanctions:

  • Result may be annulled if performance cannot be verified.
  • Disqualification or ban for repeated violations.

Results:

  • Results published on zwift.lv/lv/results within 2 days.
  • Overall standings on ZwiftPower.
  • Top 3 riders in overall standings of subgroups will receive symbolic prizes from sponsors.
